Multi-Purpose Items To Help You Paint

Posted on: May 23rd, 2014 by Ashton Service Group

People are starting to have the energy and spend some time updating/refreshing their home and living space with some do-it-yourself projects.

Painting your walls is an inexpensive way to change the look and feel of a room with a bright or unexpected colour and for those who are bold and skilled with a brush… even painting a pattern on a feature wall.

Here are some ideas to help making painting a bit more easier on you and your helpful friends and family members by using common household items.

1. Rubber Bands

Stretching a rubber band over a can of paint helps people wipe the excess paint from their brushes and drip the paint back into the can instead of the sides of the can.

2. Bread Tags

Hate trying to find where the tape begins on a roll of tape? Use one of the many bread tags you may have in your kitchen to hold your tape in place so you always know where the tape starts.

3. Old Laundry Basket

If you are feeling adventurous with your walls, perhaps you would like to get on the pattern trend and have polka dots.

To make the dots circular and of the same size, try using the sides of an old laundry basket, tape it to the wall and paint in the holes to make multiple evenly spaces dots.
