Things to do in Vancouver During the Warm Weather

Posted on: January 20th, 2014 by Ashton Service Group

As you have probably noticed, we’ve been having some wonderful weather here in Vancouver, B.C. Instead of cold, rain and cloudy skies, Vancouver has experienced an usual bout of sunshine and warm weather this winter. So take advantage of this wonderful weather and get out there and explore Vancouver.

For the Drivers:

Take a drive up to the world famous Whistler via the Sea to Sky highway. Ever since the reconstruction of the road, the asphalt is smoother, wider and the scenery is just as beautiful as before. Don’t forget to stop at the various rest areas along the way to enjoy the beautiful water and mountain scenery between Squamish and Whistler Village.

For the Nature Lover:

Stanley Park. Take a stroll along the seawall. Better yet, bring your bike (or rent one) and ride along the seawall and throughout Stanley Park. Don’t forget to visit Vantage Point in Stanley Park just before sunset. Bring a camera!

For the Star Gazers:

Seymour Mountain at night. Bring a camera,  tripod and warm jacket and head up to Seymour Mountain at night. About ¼ of the way up Seymour, you will see a rest area to your right that overlooks Vancouver. With minimal light pollution and a clear sky, you’ll be able to enjoy all the stars over a picture perfect Vancouver night scene.

For the Brave Golfers:

Til mid March, golfers can tee up at Stanley Park, Queen Elizabeth and Rupert Park pitch and putts at no charge.  Since there won’t be anyone working the offices, bring you own gear! —– And perhaps a jacket.
